2010 FIFA World Cup™ sponsorship
Castrol’s sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ was the biggest in our history and it enabled us to plan long-term campaigns, which created huge opportunities for us to reach and engage our customers and football fans around the world.
Through our sponsorships we have always looked to provide a new perspective by using our expertise in technology and analysis to constantly improve performance. The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ was no different as we took the same expertise used in the development of our oils and applied that analysis, technology and innovation to football, to give fans a unique insight into football performance.
We were able to connect and engage with football fans all over the world. The Castrol Rankings, Challenge Ronaldo, Castrol Predictor and Castrol Index were just some of the initiatives launched around our 2010 FIFA World Cup™ campaign.

Future football sponsorship
Castrol EDGE is an official sponsor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. We’ve also signed a partnership with UEFA to sponsor the UEFA EURO 2012™ tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
As sponsor of UEFA EURO 2012™, we will continue to use our heritage of analysis, technology and innovation to provide unique insights into winning performances and add value for football fans across the globe.
